Current Access
There are three routes to get to Ciudad-Hacienda Los Reyes from San Jose, all of them with an average distance of 16 miles (25 kilometers). One of them goes thru the city of Alajuela and the International Airport, located about 6 miles (9 kilometers) from "Los Reyes". The next route goes by the Hotel Cariari and then thru some small towns, which include San Antonio de Belen and San Rafael de Alajuela. The third route is thru the Santa Ana Highway and then to "La Guacima" via the "Radial" to San Antonio.
Future Access
In the near future, the new Cuidad Colon - Orotina roadway, scheduled to be built starting January 2005, will go thru La Guacima located just 1 mile away (2 kilometers from Los Reyes), reducing the distance from San Jose to 11 miles (17 kilometers). Once this road is completed, the distance from La Guacima to the Port of Caldera on the Pacific Ocean will be just 36 miles (58 kilometers
